We are a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to, not only raise awareness, but to help those that are struggling with addiction and provide the tools needed to achieve and sustain a long-term sobriety. Our goal is to provide assistance for anyone who is needing rehabilitation through a substance abuse programs
We are Peggy Hernandez and Valerie Jimenez & we created J & M in 2020 after the loss of Peggy's two sons Jesse & Marlin. Jesse being Valerie's husband and Marlin, her brother in-law. Jesse and Marlin passed of overdose 7 months apart from each other. After going through back-to-back heartbreak, we knew that there was something that we needed to do, especially because Jesse and Marlin weren't the first loved ones we had lost to overdose. We chose to start a walk for awareness, and we quickly grew into a non-profit that, not only raises awareness with our annual walk, but now has a goal to help any persons in active addiction through their journey to sobriety, whether this be financially or through just guidance alone. We are determined to make a change and do whatever we can to prevent other families from experiencing the same pain we have. We know we may not be able to save the world but we do know are able to change someone's world and that alone keep us fighting this fight.
